Owner Rachel Wainwright's Inspiration
to Create Exhale Yoga, Pilates, & Dance Studio:
A few years ago, I had several close friends pass away. I got injured. I had a job that was respectable, but not fulfilling. My nerves always felt shocked. My stomach was always in pain, and I got sick a lot. I started getting involved in yoga, pilates and dance. Whenever, I was taking a class, I felt present, peaceful and happy. I started to feel more joy and love in my life. My passion for yoga, pilates and dance grew.
I wanted to spread this passion for yoga, pilates and dance by opening up a studio. I wanted to hire like minded instructors with the goal of making people happier and healthier and improving the quality of their lives. I never told anyone my dream; I was scared people would tell me it was silly. So I keep my dream a secret.
I decided to do my yoga and pilates teacher training for my own personal development, and to acquire a deeper understanding and knowledge. I decided to quit my secure, comfortable job and became a yoga, pilates and dance instructor. As soon as I began teaching, one teaching job led to another and my classes became very popular. I realized my enthusiasm was working like a magnet – attracting others to my passion. This gave me the courage I needed to be fearless and to create the life I really wanted. I fully realized I am the creator of my own destiny.
I decided to tell my family and close friends about my dream, and was surprised with the support, love and encouragement I received. I started to really believe my vision would manifest into reality if I followed what was deep in my heart. I visualized what my studio would look like, what it would be like to touch, what sounds I would hear, what it would smell like and how it would make me feel. Within a year everything started to take place, and my dream became a reality. I decided to call my dream “Exhale”.
